Indo-German green hydrogen cooperation – German Delegation in Pune

India is focussing on green hydrogen as substitution of fossil energy sources and is ramping upa green hydrogen eco-system throughout the country. Since this will require imports of foreign technology, new opportunities for German companies will arise, to develop new business in India. In light of this interesting developments, Markus Hoffmann von Wolffersdorff connected the German Hydrogen Association HZwo e.V. from Chemnitz with the Pune Hydrogen Valley and initiated talks about a strategic long-term partnership. These talks resulted in a fact-finding visit from a HZwo e.V. delegation to Pune from 23 until 26 February 2026. Personal relations could be established, and the German delegation was visiting partners from the Pune Hydrogen Valley. Furthermore, a first HZwo-Pune Hydrogen Valley-Summit was conducted on 24 February with around 40 participating companies and institutions from the Pune region. Markus Hoffmann von Wolffersdorff gave a presentation about the political framework for Indo-German cooperations in the green hydrogen sector. The delegation visit was a success and first step to develop a longer-term partnership in the Indo-German green hydrogen sector.
